My Baby had Babies
As I was getting ready this morning, I had a feeling today was going to be the day. Although Abbie wasn't officially due to give birth for another 4-8 days, I could sense she was getting ready. If anyone knows my cat, they know that she is not the most affectionate little thing in the world. This morning, she stayed at my feet rubbing up against me, meowing and purring (so not typical for my kitty). As I was leaving for work, she was suddenly no where to be found. I searched the entire house for nearly 30 minutes before I found her nestled up behind the couch, in the closet, behind a picture, under a sleeping bag and oh and lets not forget ON CARPET! When I found her she had already given birth to the first kitty. I slipped a towel under her and watched her give birth to her 2nd. Matt came home just in time to watch the birth of the 3rd kitten, he says he needed a different pair of shoes, but I think its pretty obvious that he was excited (although he wont admit it). Needless to say, Whether a person or a cat, watching something come into the world truly is a miracle to see. Ps.. I'll leave out the picture of Abbie scarfing down the placenta :).

Weekend Drive
Have I mentioned lately how much I love won tons?? Well I do! Mr. Matt just left for school. He cut back his schedule from 3 classes to 2, I think this will be really good for him as one can only have so much on their plate at a time..unless were talkin bout won tons HA! My original plan was to work on getting our emergency kit put together, but somehow a nice hot bath with a new book sounds so much more appealing. Ive been on the prey for a hot tub. Matt's letting me get one for the backyard and I am so FREAKIN excited! If you know me, you know I don't do the cold well. I am the girl who walks into the house in the winter and is immediately either sitting on the heater with a blanket over me or running a hot bath, so naturally a hot tub is somewhat of a dream of mine. Just found 2 hopefuls on ksl.com Ive compromised and agreed to buy a used one instead of the 7 grand bull frog that I originally fell in love with. I figure to compromise will only benefit me in the future when Mr. Matt decides to come home with the jeep classifieds :). Last weekend we took a drive up to Logan to check out the fall colors in the canyons. Needless to say..it was BEA-utiful!

Lagoon
Its official..winter is here. What happened to fall? Who knows.. I must have blinked too long cause I missed it. So..Abbie's pregnant. Yes I'm embarrassed as I've always been an advocate of spaying and neutering but I didn't have the heart to abort them. Shes due to have them in just a few weeks and I'm getting excited. I'm hoping that she will just have one, then we will keep it and all will be grand. She is a lot more affectionate now that shes pregnant, if only people were the same way :).
Two weeks ago we spent the weekend in Park City with Kaitlin and her hubby. One of our
Last weekend I went to Lagoon with the family. We've made it a tradition to go every October. Why October you ask? Because its cheaper at the end of the season Duh! Its also when they do Frightmares, we like to do the haunted houses there. I didnt take a ton of pics but here are a few..
Ps..the wicked was a BLAST!
This weekend our plans are to: Finish repairing the fence, work on some landscaping in the yard, take a morning drive to Logan to look at the fall colors, Black Diamond ski swap, and a wedding.

First day of Fall

Today is the first day of Fall. Fall and I have a love hate relationship. I love the changing of the leaves, the crisp air, and of course temperatures that both my husband and I could compromise with. If it weren't for the fact that fall leads to winter, we could be good friends. If you haven't guessed, I don't do cold weather well and today is an abnormally cold day for this time of year. We went to breakfast at the Pancake House this morning and I was the only one there bundled up in a long coat and beanie, needless to say Matt thought it was hilarious. I can't believe it's almost winter let alone 2008. I swear, the older I get the faster time seems to fly by. This reminds me of a song I heard the other day. Click here to listen.
I finally got another bedroom set yesterday. I say "another" because Matt had boughten me one last year for Christmas. It was perfect...except for the fact that it was built poorly. Long story short we had it replaced 4 times and ended up just telling RC Willey where to stick it. I love my new one, and not just because it was a third of the price :). Got most of it put together..just have to put together the taller dresser. Ps..Don't mind the mismatched bed skirt...it's the only one we have at the moment ;).
I also FINALLY finished the book I've been reading. It's so hard to find the time to read but when I do It's so much fun. I'm excited to get started on the next books in the series.September 13, 2007
Geriatric 1927
Here is a person that has been there, done that, and seen it all. I seen a story on TV about how
you tube had changed his life. He was a widower with few family and friends who started to post on you tube simply to let people know he was "alive". There is something so incredibly interesting about listening to someone with so much history tell their life story. I was always so interested in my grandmas life stories, however it was very rare to get a story out of her as she didn't like to talk of the past. Click here to watch his videos.

I Suck
Yes...I am well aware of the fact that I suck at keeping up with the blog entries but here it goes. In the last few months we've managed to get a ton done on the house.
We cut in a back door, had a cement pad poured in the backyard as well as stairs put in, framed the basement, sheet rocked almost all of the basement, and laid the rest of the grass. My mom gave me 2 trees that I planted on Thursday (note trees in picture ;). The projects are never ending but so much fun. This last weekend was great. I spent the majority of the weekend working on the house while Matt did homework in what he calls his office....I usually refer to it as his dungeon. When he did manage to escape we had a blast together as always. We made it to the Greek Festival on Friday although it wasn't the biggest hit. And just because one night of pink cotton candy isn't enough, we went to the fair on Saturday. The fair gave us a chance to look at a bunch of nice, relaxing, take your book after a long day at work hot tubs....okay back to reality.
Speaking of toys, we bought a patio fire pit. If you know me...ya know its my new favorite toy.
Took the dogs to the school when I got home from work to play ball. Leave it up to Sam to find the one mud hole in the entire field. Needless to say, when we got home we played bath time! Next up I'll have to do something with the bathroom, its a muddy wet mess in there. Mr. Matt just got home from school. We're gonna go get some ice cream for root beer floats and watch a movie ( guess the bathroom with have to wait hehe.
Ps...I forgot about this site until Matt posted it ~~> postsecret
