Life is Good

Well it happened. I woke up this morning... and as I walked out to the hot tub, there it was....Snow.

A moment of silence please on behalf of my tomato plants............

This weekend was both relaxing as well as productive.

Most recently I have:

Started working out again.
Began taking more "Kandice Time"
Spending more time with friends and family.
Searching for new recipes as our dinners are currently in a rut.

Work is going great.
Home life is everything I could have ever dreamed of.
We are into the 5th month of our "Financial Diet"
Life is good.

I am now off to watch Jaws. Hopefully it won't give nightmares for a week like it did when I was a wee one.

Change of Plans

Burrrrrr! Apparently Mother Nature did not feel that it was in my best interest to go to Lagoon today as planned :(.

No worries...I have a plan B. Can you say Movies, Sweat pants, Slippers, A Hoodie, Hot chocolate, Snuggling and Nachos?! But first, I think I'm gonna blast some good old Patsy Cline and clean up the house and maybe just maybe I'll run on the treadmill. Maybe Lagoon will happen next weekend although the weather is already not looking so hopeful.

Ps. Happy Birthday (yesterday) to brother Russell! I can't believe that your 19!!!!
Also, Congratulations on the new job! I can't even express how happy and excited I am for you!

Mr. Romantic

Matt had a few extra minutes to spare while waiting to pick me up from work today. I had thought he was waiting in the parking lot and when I was able to leave early I went outside expecting to surprise him. Instead he surprised me by driving up with a card and flowers. I know what your thinking and No...he hadn't even done anything wrong haha.

I am so Lucky.

We made curry for dinner and watched "You Me and Dupree". I had forgotten how much I loved that movie and somehow, I had also forgotten that Seth Rogen was in it (Love Seth Rogen).

Speaking of Movies. Went to see "My Best Friend's Girl" the other night with Megan. The movie was totally and completely different than I had expected but LOVED IT. It was a great laugh! Ps...Not a movie for the childrens ;).

Also..speaking of Seth Rogen (note 2 paragraph's back lol)...going to see "Pineapple Express" tomorrow. Looks kinda lame but its a "Freaks and Geeks" alumni movie so I must see. Will update with review.

We got our XBox back. I apologize for underestimating the jibberish speaking man that proved to be so efficient. Sorry Xbox man.

Family Fun

This weekend proved to be quite busy. I finally got some of the deep cleaning in the house finished which took up almost all of Saturday (taking in to consideration that I lollygagged through most of the morning portion), Matt built some shelves for storage in the laundry room, the pups got an outside bath, and we finished off the weekend with the monthly Love Family Dinner.
Gabe and Sam weren't too happy about the bath situation.

Mr. Matt working on the shelves...I love being married to a handyman :)

Ben and Sheila recenlty found out that they are pregnant (16 weeks).

Sister Debbie and her new (well sorta new) baby Jordan.

Mr. Matt and niece Sonora

Our Family

Sister Shauna brought over the game "Apples to Apples". It ended up being a really fun game that was perfect for the large sized group.

This is the Love family
We have family dinner every month but its not very often that everyone is able to make it. Still minus Chad (brother in law) due to work, but everyone else is present.

Sam and cousin Mufasa playin tug-a-war

MiniMatt spent the day with us as well and was able to meet the family. It turned out to be a really nice day. Back to work tomorrow. Things to look forward to: Going to see "My Best Friends Girl", Lagoon with my family is next weekend, and we will soon be going to see the plastination exhibit.
Ps. I've failed on the quitting the nail biting idea...again. Will do better this week ;)

Life is Beautiful

We just got finished watching "Life is Beautiful". What a great movie. I've seen it a few times now but each time... it touches me. It's a movie that makes you really think about your perspective on life. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it.

Ps...MLK

Autumn

Dear Mother Nature: Although I am very sad to see summer leave, I will accept this Autumn thing on one condition: Please please pleeeease tell Mr. Winter to keep his distance for just a little bit longer. I may or may not let him know when I'm ready to embrace his presence. -K-

Our Monday night has so far consisted of: Carpooling, Grocery Shopping, Exercising while watching a portion of Anchor Man, Making Curry, and Mr. Matt is now making Cookies :). We will finish off the night by watching the remainder of the black and white movie we started last night.

As for the pups, their chillaxin. Miss Abbie didn't feel the need to participate in my family photo.

Ghost Town

We just got home from seeing "Ghost Town". It was pretty funny or maybe I was just in need of a good laugh. The main character (Don't know his real name and feeling too lazy to Google it) was fun to watch. Between his English accent, his bluntness, and his cute little vampire teeth I rather liked the man. All in all...I would recommend it. The next movie I want to see is "My Best Friends Girl". First of all because its a romantic comedy, and secondly because I LOVE Kate Hudson and Jason Biggs. Although, for some reason unknown to me I can't stand watching Dane Cook. I tried to watch his last movie (once again I can't remember the name and I feeling too lazy to Google it) and had to turn it off mid-movie I was so annoyed with him. I'm thinking we'll have until this one comes to the dollar show since we're trying to cut back on the money spending.

On a random note: If you are into nature shows, I would recommend "Planet Earth" and "The Blue Planet". We had boughten "The Planet Earth" from Costco and loved it so much that my Dad bought us "The Blue Planet" for Christmas. They are so much fun to watch and are not as gory as some of the nature films on like PBS.

We went to the dog park today. That was a lot of fun as it was such beautiful weather. I so wish that there was one located closer to our house though. Its hard to justify using the gas to drive 30 minutes each way... but the dogs sure loved it. I would sit at the dog park everyday if there was one closer to us.

On a happy note: We are finishing the fourth month of our financial diet. So far so good :). I get so excited when I think about it.

Ps... I am quitting the nail biting habit...again....starting tomorrow. Wish me luck :).
