Car Camping in Idaho

We went on our first camping trip of the year a few weeks ago. Now that we no longer have a 4x4 truck, we are limited as far as where we can go camping. The camp site we had intended on staying at was still covered in snow but this place worked great as a second choice.

Sam was in ball playing heaven.

Cooling off in the river for a quick second. Next....More ball.

I know lots of pup pics...they are my babies

Gabe absolutely hates lying in the dirt...sometimes I think he is more human than dog.

Me chilling with Gabe by the fire...it got pretty cold in the evenings.

Nothing like a wet dog lying on the table to make ya hungry haha

Me taking a nap.

Matt keeping himself busy while I took a nap.

My balancing act. We had a lot of fun on this thing ;)

Sam made it look easy.

We went on a small hike.

Love this Pic.

Can you say "relaxation"

Mothers Day

Hayley (little sister) and I made these Fruit Bouquets for mom and sister Chelsea for Mothers Day. We also had the whole family over for a BBQ. Hayley likes to learn how to cook so I had her do all of the cooking. She even made a homemade blackberry pie that was delicious.

Lazy Saturday

Today We:

Exercised
Took the dogs in for shots
Had a dog break my heart at the pound
Went to Breakfast
Watched the last 4 episodes of Jericho
Surfed the internet
Made a run to the store for random junk food
Stopped at Holiday for a Tigers Blood slushy
Cuddled with Gabe

Its been a great LAZY Saturday spent with the hubby.

And now that my eyes have rested for a few....we're off to watch a movie. It's not very often that Mr. Matt is content doing nothing so I gotta take advantage of it haha.

Update x a Few

Surprise! A post.
Someday I promise I'll get better at posting more often.

Last weekend we got to babysit nephew Brock along with the pups Mufasa and Havoc (spelling?).
Brock is such a good baby, I can't believe how easy he was to care for.

The weather was perfect for playing outside.

Feeding time.

We ended the weekend by having family dinner at the condo Ben and Sheila had stayed at that night. Thanks so much to Sheila for hosting.

The weekend before, Matt and I went on a Saturday drive to Delta, Utah. It was gloomy and rainy but so much fun. It's amazing how much the rain enhances the colors in the farmlands.

I just love driving to Nowhere.

Love this picture. I was trying to capture the Hawk or Crow perched on top.

Only in a small town.

Matt got out of the car and wrote MLK (Matt loves Kandice) in the mountain of sand.

This is currently my favorite dessert
Sticky Rice and Mango

We drove up to Ben and Sheilas on Easter. We played at the dog park, had our first BBQ of the season, and spent some time with Brock.

Matt at the BBQ.

Sister-in-law Emily stopped by with niece Sonora.

Matt took Wednesday (Tax Day) off too attend the tea party protest.
It was freezing outside.

lastly, I started my garden :). I am so excited to grow a garden this year. So far we have Peas, Onions, and Beets planted. (Beets are for Matt....ICK!)

Random Trips to Nowhere

Every once in awhile we take a random drive to either breakfast or lunch in a city we've never been. We always have a lot of fun exploring small towns and spending quality time together. Oh and the pups love it. We recently did this two weekends in a row. On this drive we did a loop turning around near Gunnison.
This is a flooded house on the side of the freeway that we stopped to check out. At first we had thought it was sunken house but later realized that it was just flooded.

Matt with the pups in the car.

The scenery was pretty. Spring is finally almost here.

Pizza for Lunch. This place was totally vintage on the inside.

Only in a small town would you find this.

The following Saturday we took another drive and ended up at Bear lake. We had a lot of fun but dang it was COLD. We did this drive in a loop as well.
Gabe

People Ice Fishing... Ick. I've got goosebumps just thinking about it.

Woodruff was one of the small towns we stopped in.

The town is filled with these old abandoned cabins.

Randolph was another small town we stopped in.

This is the town everything store. We stopped in for drinks:)

Bear Lake

Passing this led to a nice conversation about how much fun it would be to have a snowmobile haha

They look so cozy cuddled up in the back

I would most definatly say that the highlight of our trip was Matt discovering one of his old favorite CD's. The Thompson Twins. I didn't get any of the really good stuff on video but It's still hilarious.

On an awesome note: My tulips are coming up. I am so excited for Summer...I daydream about it all of the time. I took a picture so that I could display how completely awsome it is but I lost it when Matt was sorting pictures...Sad Times.

Another congrats to Ben and Sheila. Brock was born on March 2nd of 2009. So very cute and with a full head of hair.
